Ulrich Seiler

Ulrich Seiler (born April 13, 1952 in Langenbach near Bad Marienberg (Westerwald) ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from elementary school in 1966 , Seiler did an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk . He then worked for the Federal Border Police and as an industrial clerk, and studied business administration at the evening school. Since 1975 he has worked as an administrative clerk for the Bad Marienberg community . Seiler is married and has two children.

politics

Seiler has been a member of the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union , later Ver.di , since 1978 , and joined the SPD in 1987. In 1994 he was elected to the district assembly of the Westerwaldkreis . On May 18, 2001, Seiler succeeded Hendrik Hering , who had won the constituency of Bad Marienberg (Westerwald) / Westerburg as a direct candidate , and became a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate . In the state parliament he was a member of the committee for equality and the advancement of women, the petitions committee and the prison commission. After the 2006 election, he left the state parliament. In 2004 he became First Alderman of the City of Bad Marienberg.
