Ulrich Spiegelberg

Ulrich Spiegelberg (born April 5, 1956 ; † August 8, 2018 in Heidelberg ) was a German pediatrician , local historian and local researcher .

Life

Ulrich Spiegelberg received his doctorate in medicine in 1981 with a thesis on the role of cyclic adenosine monophosphate in connection with hypergonadotropic hypogonadism in renal insufficiency . From 1983 until his death he was a child and youth medicine in a Eberbacher group practice operates. On January 30th, 2008 he was awarded the Hessian Order of Merit on ribbon.

Spiegelberg lived in Hirschhorn (Neckar) , was married and had two children.

Act

In the context of his local history research, Ulrich Spiegelberg dealt in particular with the Hirschhorn and Eberbach ( church ) history in the Middle Ages and modern times . As of 2004, 14 of his articles appeared in the annually published Eberbacher Geschichtsblatt . In addition, Spiegelberg wrote three monographs on the history of the town of Hirschhorn am Neckar , Hirschhorn Castle and the four Hirschhorn churches , some of them as part of the series of publications by the administration of the State Palaces and Gardens of Hesse . In terms of local history, he also dealt with the agricultural history of the Finkenbachtal .

Spiegelberg played a key role in the exhibition of the Hirschhorn Langbein Museum and was chairman of the association "Freundeskreis Langbein'sche Sammlung und Heimatmuseum Hirschhorn". He was also a member of the board of directors of the “Förderverein Klosterkirche Hirschhorn ” and initiated concert series in the latter, where he occasionally appeared as a pianist himself .

Spiegelberg also enjoyed regional fame and reputation through his work as one of the few paediatricians in the Eberbach area.
