Ulrich Stettler
Ulrich Stettler (born June 12, 1938 in Halberstadt ) is a former functionary of the GDR block party LDPD . He was chairman of the Halle district association of the LDPD.
Life
After graduating from high school, Stettler took up a teaching degree at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg as well as a correspondence course in journalism . From 1974 to 1979 he studied at the Academy for Political Science and Law in Potsdam . He completed his studies with a degree in political science.
Stettler joined the LDPD in 1961. He was part of the staff and editor of the Liberal Democratic newspaper . From 1964 to 1973 he worked as secretary of the LDPD district association Merseburg . From 1973 he was deputy chairman and from 1984 to 1990 chairman of the LDPD district association Halle. From 1982 to 1990 Stettler was a member of the LDPD central board and from December 21, 1987 to 1990 a member of the political committee of the central board.
