Ulrich von Blücher

Ulrich von Blücher (* around 1214 in Blücher ; † January 16, 1284 in Ratzeburg ) was a Premonstratensian and from 1257 until his death in 1284 the 10th bishop of the Ratzeburg diocese .

He comes from the Blücher family . He was first a priest in the Premonstratensian Abbey of Ratzeburg and was elected Bishop of Ratzeburg in 1257 . He is said to have distinguished himself through great zeal for pastoral care. His compassionate love for the poor was also known. He was followed by two other bishops of Ratzeburg: Hermann von Blücher (1291–1309) and Wipert von Blücher (1356–76).

His tombstone in the Ratzeburg Cathedral has largely been preserved and is now placed on the north wall of the north aisle.
