Mildensee is a village in Dessau-Roßlau , an independent city in the state of Saxony-Anhalt . It is located about 3 km east of the city center.
history
The district was formed in 1933 by the union of the communities Pötnitz , Scholitz and Dellnau . These belonged to Dessau from May 1, 1930 to April 14, 1933.
The name is derived from the name of the lake of the same name, an oxbow lake of the Mulde (in old form Milde).
Pötnitz and Scholitz are mentioned for the first time in 1179, Dellnau in 1205 - and are therefore older than Dessau itself.
Infrastructure and traffic
The federal highway 185 and its continuation the federal highway 107 as well as the federal highway 9 lead over the area of Mildensee, the latter with the junction Dessau-Ost . There is also a motorway maintenance depot here .
The route of the Dessau-Wörlitz Railway leads north around the Mildensee development. Today only the Dessau-Adria stop is in operation, the Mildensee West and Mildensee (formerly Dellnau ) train stations have been closed for a long time and have largely been dismantled. Furthermore, two bus lines run by the Dessau Transport Company lead to the city center of Dessau.
In the 1990s, a shopping and business park was built near the motorway exit.
East of the town center is the Adria gravel pit with the amusement park and lido of the same name.
In Mildensee there is a Segwaypoint that offers tours along many of the sights of Dessau-Roßlau, but also tours into the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm .
