Haideburg is a district of Dessau-Roßlau , an independent city in the state of Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Geographical location
It is located about five kilometers south of the city center. In the west, the B184 forms the border. The Mosigkauer Heide connects to the south. In the north, the course of the Taube limits the district. Haideburg lies at an altitude of 70 m above sea level .
Settlement geography
Haideburg consists mostly of single-family houses, villas and terraced houses, with the exception of the IG-Farben settlement. The IG-Farben settlement is a listed area, consisting of several, mostly two-story buildings. There is a grocery discounter on the northern edge of the district. There is a public transport connection to the city center of Dessau via bus lines 11 and 12 .
history
This district is named after the Haideburg hunting lodge , which was built in 1782–1783 under the name Heydeburg.
