Kleinkühnau is a village in Dessau-Roßlau , an independent city in the state of Saxony-Anhalt . It is about four kilometers west of the city center.

To the south of Kühnauer Straße are the Dessau airfield , the Hugo Junkers technology museum and the location of the Saxony-Anhalt East Police Department .

Kleinkühnau has 1649 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1711.

On February 3, 1920, an airplane crashed near Kleinkühnau. The pilot Hermann Hasselmann was killed.

On October 1, 1923, it was incorporated into Dessau .
