Ulrike Motschiunig
Ulrike Motschiunig (* 1965 in Ried im Innkreis , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian children's book author .
Life
Motschiunig grew up in the Innviertel . After attending a commercial college, she worked in a bank as an employee. In 1990 she moved to Klagenfurt am Wörthersee . After the birth of her children, she started writing books for children and young people.
Her first book Glück sucht! was published by G & G Verlag in February 2010. This book won first place in the readers' choice of the Austrian Literature Prize Buchliebling in the category of picture and first-reading books . In September 2013, the children's jury at the Lviv Book Fair awarded the book in Ukrainian translation.
Motschiunig is a fan of Astrid Lindgren .
