Anette Smolka-Woldan

Anette Smolka-Woldan (* 1969 in Schärding ) is an Austrian carpenter , restorer , painter , graphic artist , caricaturist and illustrator .

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Smolka-Woldan completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and qualified as a restorer. In 1998 she attended the European Academy for Fine Arts in Isny ​​im Allgäu and completed this training in 2002.

She works as a freelance artist and deals with the illustration of children's books together with the authors of the texts. The children's book No one stinks like Balduin , written by Monika Krautgartner and provided with drawings, was awarded the 3rd overall prize from 151 entries from all over Europe at the International Children's and Youth Book Competition in Schwanenstadt .

Your drawings are created with a 2 to 3 mm thick bourdon tube that is colored with oil paint or as etchings or lithographs . The works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions since 2002.

The artist is a member of the Innviertel artists 'guild , the professional association of Niederbayrischer Künstler and the artists' association Arkade Isny. It has an honorary seat of the Murnau artist's lodge.
