Ultra Beatdown is the fourth album by the British power metal band DragonForce . It was released in Japan on August 20, 2008, in Germany on August 22, and in Australia on August 23, before it was released worldwide on August 26, 2008. On July 4, 2008, the first single from the album Heroes Of Our Time was released on their MySpace page. And on August 8, 2008, the music video was released on their MySpace page.

This album contains the shortest song they recorded (except Invocation of Apocalyptic Evil, the opening track of the album Valley Of The Damned, which is only 0:14 min. Long): Strike of The Ninja, which is 3:17 in length. Before that, the shortest song was: "Dawn Over A New World" from the album Sonic Firestorm with a length of 5:13.

The music video from the second single The Last Journey Home was released in advance on the Xbox Live server on January 25, 2009, before it was released online a week later.

Ultra Beatdown was the last studio album with the vocals of ZP Theart and is the first with bassist Frédéric Leclercq.

The Ultra Beatdown Tour started on September 25th, 2008 in the club "The Zodiac", Oxford together with Turisas . DragonForce planned to release a live DVD in the summer of 2009 , but none has yet been released.
