Ululu II

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ululu II (also KIN II ) was derived in the Babylonian lunar and normal calendar from the Akkadian name of the month Ululu , which acted as the namesake for this leap month . The year that included the leap month Ululu II (VI 2 ) had the additional designation "2-KAM" or "KIN-2-KAM".

Since, according to the Babylonian sources, the month of Nisannu was either the first new light or the first full moon of spring , the month of Ululu II usually began between August 30th and September 14th .
