Umar Daudsai
Umar Daudsai or Mohammad Omar Daudzai (born October 12, 1957 in Ghazni (province) , Afghanistan ) is an Afghan politician. He was Chief of Staff to Afghan President Hamid Karzai from 2003 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2010 . He has been his country's interior minister since September 2013.
Life
Daudsai was ambassador to Tehran (2005 to 2007) and to Islamabad .
On October 23, 2010, the New York Times published a report claiming that Daudsai received regular cash from Iran. Two days later, Karzai confirmed this.
On September 25, 2013, 153 of the 233 MPs present elected him as the new interior minister of his country. He was the third Home Secretary in a year.
