Umrathshausen is a district of the municipality of Frasdorf in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim .

The place is two and a half kilometers east of Frasdorf, south of Prien am Chiemsee and a few kilometers north of the municipality of Aschau im Chiemgau .

The federal motorway 8 runs immediately to the south with the next exits in Frasdorf and Bernau . The “Umrathshausen Ort” demand stop is located near the settlement on the Chiemgau Railway, which is tangent to the town to the east . The “Umrathshausen Bahnhof” stop near the hamlet of Giebing was closed when the timetable changed in December 2016.

Umrathshausen was first mentioned in a document in 952 as Hunprethashusa .

Architectural and ground monuments

The Catholic branch church Heilig Blut from 1472, together with the cemetery chapel and wall (each of a more recent date), the Goldener Pflug inn from 1845 in Humprehenstrasse 1, the farmhouse Im Moosweg 2 with knee stick from around 1900 and a field chapel built around 1670 are listed as historical monuments on the western outskirts, a field cross and a boundary stone .
