The Hungarian low mountain range is a collective term for the mountain ranges up to 750 m above sea level. Adriatic Sea in Transdanubia , which runs in a northeast-southwest direction, separating the Great Hungarian Plain from the Small Hungarian Plain .

The Hungarian Central Mountains of Transdanubia include ( highest elevations in brackets ):

  • Bakony Mountains
    • Északi-Bakony (North Bakony) ( Köris-hegy, 704 m )
      • Bakonyalja
      • Magas or Öreg Bakony
      • Keleti-Bakony (East Bakony)
    • Déli-Bakony (South Bakony)
  • Keszthely Mountains ( 426 m )

The Visegrad Mountains are already part of the Northern Hungarian Central Mountains.

Waters

South of Bakonyalja is the Balaton ( Balaton ). To the east of it, the rivers Sárvíz and Válivíz drain south. In the west of the Bakony, the Marcal river drains north.
