União the Freguesias de Carcavelos e Parede , shortly Carcavelos e Parede is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese circuit ( Concelho ) of Cascais , in the Lisbon District .
The community has 45,007 inhabitants and an area of 8.11 km² (as of June 30, 2011).
It was created in the course of the territorial reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 through the merger of the municipalities of Carcavelos and Parede . Carcavelos became the seat of the new municipality.
