União the Freguesias de Conceição e Cabanas de Tavira , short Conceição e Cabanas de Tavira , is a village ( freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Tavira in the Algarve , in southern Portugal .
2,519 inhabitants live in the municipality on an area of 69.44 km² (according to figures from 2011).
The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Conceição and Cabanas de Tavira . Conceição became the seat of the municipality, the former municipal administration in Cabanas de Tavira remained as a branch office and citizens' office.
