Six Concerti Armonici for string orchestra have survived from van Wassenaer's compositional oeuvre . These were initially published anonymously and were therefore attributed to Carlo Ricciotti or Giovanni Battista Pergolesi . It was only after 1979, when Albert Dunning discovered the works at Schloss Twickel, a residence of Van Wassenaer, that they could be clearly assigned to Van Wassenaer.
