The Uniform Ordinance ( UnifV ) lays down regulations for the wearing of the uniform of the Bundeswehr for former soldiers outside of a military service relationship .
Content
Former soldiers can be authorized to wear the uniform outside of military service for the occasions specified in the ordinance. The uniform of the reservists is the uniform of the soldiers of the Bundeswehr with the badge of the rank that the former soldier is entitled to use.
Wearing the uniform can be approved for
- festive family events such as weddings , christenings or occasions of similar importance,
- Burials of relatives and comrades,
- festive events and public commemorations of the federal government , the states and municipalities and other corporations under public law ,
- Events by soldiers and reservist associations to which the Bundeswehr is not prohibited from contacting,
- other representative events or events that are particularly worthy of support in the interests of the Bundeswehr, and
- Travel to official events in accordance with Section 81 of the Soldiers Act, including return journeys .
Approval may not be granted for events in which the former soldier participates professionally or on a voluntary basis , with the exception of the events according to No. 4 as well as for occasions at which soldiers of the Bundeswehr are not allowed to wear the uniform. The approval is granted in writing and in principle upon application , in the cases of No. 6 ex officio by the authority responsible for the consultation in the individual case. The last disciplinary superior of the soldier decides on applications according to No. 1 to 4, which are made before the end of the military service relationship . The regional command responsible for the soldier's place of residence decides on subsequent applications and on applications under No. 5 . The Armed Forces Office decides e.g. B. if the uniform is to be worn abroad in individual cases.
The approval can be revoked at any time. It must be revoked if it is to be feared that the appearance of the former soldier in uniform will impair the public image of the Bundeswehr or that the authorization to carry it will be misused.
Changes
With the last change of August 4, 2019, the special marking of the uniform of reservists outside of military service was abolished. It was in the form of a black, red and gold cord as a pull-over loop on the epaulets between the sleeve insert and the rank badge or a gold-colored letter "R" in connection with the rank badge ( Navy ).
