The University of Hradec Králové , in Czech Univerzita Hradec Králové , or UHK for short , is a university in Hradec Králové (German Königgrätz ), which was created in 2000 by renaming from the former Hradec Králové Pedagogical University.

The first Latin particular school was founded in Hradec Králové as early as 1362. In addition to the University of Hradec Králové, the Faculty of Military Health of the University of Defense and two other faculties of Charles University in Prague are located in Hradec Králové .

At the moment, more than 8,500 students study at the university with four faculties in 27 fields of study with 90 subjects.
