The University of Ibadan is a state university of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Ibadan . The college was founded in 1948 as a college of the University of London , making it the oldest university in Nigeria.
In 2004/2005 18,957 students were enrolled, according to an analysis from 2012 the university should have 33,481 students and a total of 653 academic staff.
In 2013 the university was awarded 3.25 billion naira, the largest share of the 100 billion naira budget of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for infrastructure measures at state universities.
