The University of Kragujevac ( Serbian Универзитет у Крагујевцу / Univerzitet u Kragujevcu) is a Serbian university in the city of Kragujevac . It was founded in 1976 and is divided into eleven faculties .
history
The University of Kragujevac opened on May 21, 1976. This was the same date that Miloš Obrenović established the first Serbian university in 1838.
The University of Kragujevac was necessary to promote and support a scientific environment for aspiring academics in the region. When the university opened, there were five faculties: mechanical engineering , economics , law , mechanical engineering, and natural sciences and mathematics .
Today the University of Kragujevac is a modern education and research center and includes all important areas of teaching and research. The university currently consists of eleven faculties. These are located in five different cities in the Central Serbian region , which covers an area where over 2.5 million people live.
14,000 students have completed their studies at the university, 300 have completed their master's degree and 600 have completed their doctorate .

The University of Kragujevac consists of eleven faculties. Six of them are in Kragujevac, the other five in four neighboring towns:
