The Spitzke Group is a German rail infrastructure company based in the GVZ Berlin Süd in Großbeeren in Brandenburg . It was founded in 1936 in Wroclaw and today has around 2,000 employees in Germany and neighboring European countries and Turkey .

history

The company was founded in 1936 as Alfred Spitzke Tiefbauunternehmen in the Silesian town of Wroclaw. In 1946 it was rebuilt as a civil engineering and railway construction company in Berlin . In 1970 the company traded as Tief- und Eisenbahnbau GmbH.

In 1991, today's Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO / CFO Waldemar Münich joined Alfred Spitzke Hoch-, Tief- und Eisenbahnbau GmbH. Ten years later (2001) Spitzke GmbH was converted into Spitzke AG. In 2011 the AG was transformed into the European company Spitzke SE. The company has been represented internationally since 1991 when it entered the Dutch market. The market entry in Scandinavia followed in 2003, in Turkey in 2008 and also in Switzerland in 2017 . The years from 1991 to the present are characterized by strong company growth.

Spitzke's services and products can be divided into several categories. The core competencies are in the areas of track, technology, equipment / electrical engineering, civil engineering, logistics and manufacturing. As a system supplier, the company realizes the new construction and repair of railway systems of all route categories, stations and railway bridges. In addition, the group has its own production facilities for track and switch sleepers made of prestressed concrete and for spun concrete masts.

Spitzke SE is subdivided into five regional competence centers: North ( Kaltenkirchen ); West ( Bochum ); South ( Buchloe ); East (GVZ Berlin Süd) and Mitte ( Babenhausen ). The group of companies has 18 locations and 13 subsidiaries in Germany and Europe. In addition to Germany, Spitzke is also active in Norway , Denmark , Switzerland, the Netherlands and Turkey. The board of directors is led by Waldemar Münich. The managing directors include Ralph Löffler, Waldemar Münich and Mark Fisher.
