description

The codex contains part of the Gospel of John (16: 3-19: 41) together with some comments on 6 sheets of parchment (29 × 18.5 cm). The pages were written in one column with 36 lines. A small part of the text contains the Ammonian sections, but without any reference to the Eusebian Canon .

The uncial manuscript belongs to the same manuscript as minuscule 392 (folios 7-391).

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type with some non-Byzantine readings. Aland placed it in Category V with some hesitation .

history

The manuscript was found by Francesco Barberini (hence the name) in the 17th century . The text of the codex was published by Tischendorf in 1846 ( Monumenta sacra ).

The codex is located in the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana (Codex Barberinus Graecus 521, fol. 1-6).
