Upiu / Wepiu

Upiu is an ancient Egyptian canid god mentioned in the pyramid texts . His name probably means “judge”, “he who divides, divides” or “opener”. He was nicknamed "who is at the head of Heliopolis ". His place of worship was probably in the Memphis region . During the Ptolemaic period , Upiu was an epithet of the god Horus in Dendera .
