As Urphar-Dertinger hill country is a part of the natural environment Marktheidenfelderstraße plate in Baden-Wuerttemberg referred to the eponymous places in the territory Urphar and Dertingen are. The Marktheidenfelder Platte has its most south-westerly point at Urphar near Wertheim . The Urphar-Dertinger Hügelland is a natural sub-unit No. 132.03 of the main unit group Mainfränkische Platten (main unit 13), one of four subdivision units of the nameless natural unit 132.0 in the second decimal place. The other subdivision units of the natural space unit 132.0 are the Karlstadt-Birkenfelder Kalklößplatten (No. 132.00), the Eisinger Höhe (No. 132.01) and the Roden-Waldzeller Rötflächen (No. 132.02).
