Urs Berger
Urs Berger (born April 28, 1951 ) is a Swiss insurance manager . He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Schweizerische Mobiliar Genossenschaft and Schweizerische Mobiliar Holding AG since 2011.
Life
Urs Berger studied at the University of St. Gallen economy . From 1981 to 1993 he worked for Zurich Insurance , then for Basler Versicherung . There he became Chairman of the Management Board Switzerland and a member of the Group Management in 1999. In 2003, he resigned as CEO in the furniture one. In 2011 he handed over overall operational responsibility to Markus Hongler and has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mobiliar ever since . In addition, Urs Berger has chaired the Swiss Insurance Association since 2011 and has been a member of the board of the Economiesuisse trade association since 2012 .
Urs Berger has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loeb Holding AG since 2015 . He is also a member of the board of directors of van Baerle AG, BERNEXPO Holding AG and Swiss Tertianum International AG. He is also on the board of directors of Basler Kantonalbank as well as on the board of directors and chairman of the audit committee of Gothaer Versicherungsbank VVaG and on the board of directors of Gothaer Finanzholding AG in Cologne .
