from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ursel Kessler (* 1944 in Bexbach ) is a Saarland pedagogue and artist . She is a member of the BKK and the Saarland Artists Association .

Until 2000, Kessler worked full-time as a teacher for mathematics and physics. Since around 1989 she began to sensitize herself to dealing with art. In her mining and industrial environment she began to make first drawings and photos and to exhibit them. As a result, she attended various courses and symposia. Her artistic works mostly show everyday objects from the working world in urban living space, mostly detached from the context, sometimes abstracted.

Kessler masters a wide variety of techniques. Her works represent both woodcuts and painting techniques with oil and acrylic, pencil drawings , etchings and the so-called mixed technique .
