Ursula Deinert

Ursula Deinert (born October 17, 1910 in Berlin ; † December 21, 1988 in East Berlin ) was a German dancer , actress and ballet teacher.

After completing her artistic training, she began her stage career in 1934 as a solo dancer at the opera house in Essen . In Berlin she was engaged as a solo dancer from 1936, and from the following season as first soloist at the German Opera House . She also appeared in Berlin at the Komische Oper and the Schauspielhaus .

Also from 1936 she received film roles in which she mainly offered dance and sometimes singing interludes. In terms of acting, however, it was only challenged in a few films. After 1945 she worked as a ballet master in Hamburg , Bremerhaven and Gießen .

From 1954 to 1959 she worked as a solo dancer in the Friedrichstadtpalast , at the same time she was a permanent guest as principal dancer at the Berlin State Opera . Since 1961 she has lived in East Berlin as a dance teacher at the State Technical School for Artistics. She was married to the set designer Dieter Berge. Her dance artistic estate is in the German Dance Archive Cologne .

She is buried in the cemetery of the Dorotheenstadt and Friedrichswerder communities in Berlin-Mitte.
