Ursula Marti (born May 1, 1966 ; resident in Kienberg SO and Basel ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Ursula Marti grew up in Aarberg in the Bernese Seeland . She attended the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in La Neuveville and then gained professional experience in the commercial and social sectors as well as in journalism. She has been active in communications since 1989 and trained at the Swiss PR Institute SPRI to become a PR specialist with a federal diploma and a federally certified PR consultant. From 2006 to 2009 she did the Master of Advanced Studies MAS in systemic, solution-oriented coaching at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland . Ursula Marti is the owner and managing director of the communications agency wortreich gmbh, which she founded in 1999 . She has two grown children and lives with her partner in Bern .

Ursula Marti joined the Social Democratic Party at the age of 30. From January 2006 to September 2013 she was a member of the city ​​council (legislature) of Bern, which she chaired in 2012. From 2006 to 2011 Marti was a member of the Agglomeration Commission, of which she was Vice President from 2007 to 2011. From 2008 to 2011 she was also a member of the Commission for Social Affairs, Education and Culture and from 2009 to 2010 a member of the finance delegation. After Margrit Stucki-Mäder resigned and Leyla Gül renounced her successor, Marti moved to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern in June 2013 , where she has been a member of the Finance Commission since 2014.
