Ursula Rabe-Kleberg

Ursula Rabe-Kleberg (born December 19, 1948 in Essen ) is a German educational sociologist .

Rabe-Kleberg studied sociology at the Free University of Berlin from 1967 to 1972 and was then a research assistant at the Institute for Pedagogy at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster until 1985 . In 1975 she did her doctorate at the University of Bremen . She moved there in 1985 as a research assistant and completed her habilitation . From 1992 to 2012 Rabe-Kleberg was Professor of Educational Science and Sociology of Education and Upbringing at the Martin Luther University in Halle .

Her work and research focus were the sociology of education and upbringing , occupational and professional sociology as well as childhood research (especially institutional toddler education ).
