Ursula Sassen (born June 16, 1947 in Herbern ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Ursula Sassen visited after the elementary school , the business school and the Higher Technical School of Home Economics in Münster . She also completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk in her parents' construction business, which she continued after her father's death. In 1978 she moved to Sankt Peter-Ording and has been self-employed in the textile retail business here since 1983.

Ursula Sassen has a son.

Political party

Ursula Sassen joined the CDU in 1983 and has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association in North Friesland since 2002 .

MPs

She has been a member of the municipal council of Sankt Peter-Ording since 1990.

From 2000 to 2012 Ursula Sassen was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . Here she was deputy chairman of the submission committee from 2000 to 2005 and has been deputy chairman of the social committee since 2005. She was also the specialist spokesperson for the CDU parliamentary group for the areas of data protection and health.

Ursula Sassen entered the state parliament in 2000 through the state list and in 2005 as a directly elected member of the Husum - Eiderstedt constituency . In the state elections in 2005 it received 45.2% of the first votes .
