Uschi Amberger

Ursula "Uschi" Amberger (born November 11, 1940 in Berlin ; † January 3, 2020 in Rudolstadt ) was a German chansonnette , cabaret artist and diseuse . Uschi Amberger came from a Berlin theater and musician family and was part of the Rudolstadt theater ensemble for five decades . She studied opera singing and initially worked at the theaters in Stendal, Halberstadt and Magdeburg, and from 1967 in Rudolstadt. In the mid-1970s she was a co-founder of the small venue of the Rudolstadt Theater "Schminkkasten". For a short time she worked as a freelance singer; Peter P. Pachl brought her back to the Rudolstadt Theater stage in 1992. She won several cabaret prizes and was involved nationally and internationally. Uschi Amberger died in Rudolstadt in January 2020 at the age of 79.
