Ute Haak

Ute Haak (born June 2, 1966 in Meppen ) is a former German athlete who started in the 800 , 1500 and 3000 meter races in the 1980s .

Her greatest success on the track was winning the silver medal over 1500 m at the German Championships in 1987 in Gelsenkirchen . In 1988 and 1990 she was runner-up in cross-country skiing in the middle distance. In 1993 she took fourth place in the individual competition in cross-country skiing, and together with Katrin Wolf and Vera Michallek she won the German championship title in the team competition. She started for the LAC Quelle Fürth . She was trained by Harald Schmaus.

She also has a doctorate in chemistry, and she wrote her dissertation at the Institute for Organic Chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .
