Utne is a village in the municipality of Ullensvang in Fylke Vestland, Norway .
Infrastructure and sights
Utne has a branch of a Norwegian supermarket chain, a church with a cemetery and a ferry connection. The ferry offers the possibility of crossing to Kinsarvik or Kvanndal. A famous sight is the Utne Hotel. It is the oldest Norwegian hotel and was opened in 1722. In the village there is also the Brureika , an almost 1000 year old pedunculate oak that was named Norway's largest tree in 1990 and 2007. The Hardanger Folk Museum , the oldest folk museum in Hordaland, is also located in Utne . It was founded in 1911. Part of the museum is an open-air museum with buildings up to 800 years old. Between the buildings of the open-air museum there are trees with all sorts of apples and plums.
