Utrechtboog ( German:  Utrecht Arch ) is a rail overpass structure in the southeast of the Dutch capital Amsterdam , which was opened on March 12, 2006. The Utrechtboog enables trains from the direction of Utrecht to reach Schiphol Airport without going through Amsterdam Centraal station , which saves the trains around seven minutes. Before that, passengers either had to travel via Amsterdam Centraal or change trains at Duivendrecht station . The Utrechtboog threaded after the station Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena from the railway line Amsterdam-Arnhem and leads on two viaducts, each single track, heading west and then threaded after about 1,500 meters back to the railroad track Weesp-suffering one. In the future, the ICE-International will run from Frankfurt am Main over the Utrechtboog to Schiphol Airport station.
