Utsira is a sea area in the eastern North Sea . It lies to the west of the Norwegian coast and reaches about 50 nautical miles in the south . Miles beyond the southern tip of Norway . It is named after the island of Utsira, which belongs to Norway . It is divided into the two sea areas Utsira-North and Utsira-South (see map).

To the south are the sea areas Fischer and German Bight .
