Uwe Brinkmann (* 1977 in Bonn ) is a German administrative officer . He has been the full-time mayor of Bad Schwartau since August 2016 .

Life and work

After graduating from high school at the Archbishop's Cardinal Frings Gymnasium in Bonn-Beuel in 1997, Brinkmann studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn. He completed his studies with the first state examination in law in Hamburg. After completing his legal clerkship, he also passed the second state examination in law and was admitted to the bar and later entered the higher service of the federal government. In 2010 he received his doctorate in law ( Dr. iur. ) And graduated from the University of Hamburg with a degree in political science while studying political science (Dipl.-Pol.).

The allegations of plagiarism made anonymously against his doctoral thesis in 2011 were rejected as unfounded by the law faculty of the University of Hamburg, according to the presidential office.

Uwe Brinkmann is a reserve officer and served in all three branches of the armed forces ( army , air force and navy as a soldier and civil servant). He holds the rank of frigate captain d. R.

Brinkmann lives in Hamburg, is married and has three daughters.
