Uwe Foullong

Uwe Foullong (born September 29, 1957 in Neuss , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German trade unionist. From December 2004 to 2011 he was a member of the federal executive committee of the United Service Union (ver.di).

After graduating from the Alexander-von-Humboldt-Gymnasium Neuss in May 1978, he trained as a bank clerk at the Bank für Gemeinwirtschaft in Berlin from 1978 to 1980 , where he then worked as a customer advisor. After studying economics at the Free University of Berlin from 1981 to 1987, he became a trade union secretary at the trade union for trade, banks and insurance companies (HBV) in Düsseldorf in 1987 . He was involved in the organizational development team to prepare for ver.di to be founded.

After founding the United Services Union (ver.di) in March 2001, he was head of the coordination department in the financial services department and was a member of the federal executive board from 2004 to 2011. Uwe Foullong is the deputy managing director in the ver.di district of Düssel-Rhein-Wupper.
