Uwe Fröschke (* May 6, 1961 - October 28, 2011 ) was a German handball player . In the Bundesliga he was active for VfL Hameln .

Career

The Fröschke, who was used as the right winger, initially played in the regional league at VfL Hameln until 1988 . In the 1982/83 season the team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga and just barely missed the "march through" into the Bundesliga in the following two seasons. First as third in the table, the promotion games to the Bundesliga with a tie with SG Weiche-Handewitt due to a goal difference ten goals less. Then they reached the playoffs, but lost to Frisch Auf Göppingen . In the 1985/86 season they were then champions of the 2nd Bundesliga North and Fröschke rose with Hameln. As bottom of the table the direct relegation followed and he moved in 1988 to class competitor TSV GWD Minden . After one season he moved back to Hameln to play in the 4th team.

Fröschke died on October 22, 2011.
