Uwe Frankenberger
Uwe Frankenberger (born May 15, 1955 in Trendelburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been leader of the SPD parliamentary group in Kassel since 1997 . He is also a member of the Hessian state parliament .
Profession and Party
After training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, he became a qualified trade teacher in 1986. From 1988 he became active in adult education and from 1991 taught in various commercial schools in Kassel and Fulda . Since 1976 he has been a member of the SPD, since 1985 a member of the city council and since 1997 parliamentary group chairman . From 1999 to 2001 and from 2005 to 2006 he was vice sub-district chairman.
He has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since 1999. In the state election in Hesse in 2008 on January 27, 2008, Frankenberger stood as a direct candidate for the constituency of Kassel-Stadt I and was able to a. against Eva Kühne-Hörmann , the candidate of the CDU .
