Uwe Friedl
Uwe Friedl (born January 21, 1955 in Troisdorf ) is a German local politician . He is the full-time mayor ( CDU ) of Euskirchen in the district of the same name , North Rhine-Westphalia .
Friedl grew up in Siegburg . There he attended the Catholic elementary school and the state high school. From 1972 to 1977 he completed the professional training for the higher non-technical administration service at the Landschaftsverband Rheinland as well as at the study institute for municipal administration Cologne / University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration NRW . He graduated with a degree in administrative management . From 1982 to 1987 he studied economics at the Fernuniversität in Hagen ( Diplom-Ökonom ) and obtained his doctorate with a topic on municipal fee calculation (Dr. rer. Pol.).
On August 1, 1977, he began his professional career at the Rhineland Regional Council in Cologne . There he was in the Finance Department and the Audit Office operates. This was followed by employment in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf and as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia in Cologne.
Uwe Friedl has been the full-time mayor of Euskirchen since October 1st, 1999.
Friedl is married and has two grown children (son and daughter). After his first election as mayor, he moved from his former place of residence Bergisch Gladbach to Euskirchen.
