Uwe Heuck

Uwe Heuck (full name: Uwe Günther Heuck ; born August 4, 1947 in Wernigerode ) is a German chemist and local politician.

Life

Uwe Heuck is a graduate chemist and lives in Wernigerode. After graduating from the Gerhart Hauptmann Grammar School in Wernigerode, he first learned to be a toolmaker . From 1966 to 1971 he studied chemistry at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig . 1974 doctorate he became Dr. rer. nat. at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in East Berlin with the dissertation catalytic and thermal cyclizations of unsaturated nitrogen compounds .

From 1990 to 1994 he was honorary district administrator of the district of Wernigerode . During this time, he made particular contributions to the development of the district administration and the reorganization of the church province of Saxony . In 1990 he was entrusted with setting up the trade supervisory office in Halberstadt , today Department 53 Trade Supervision West, Halberstadt, of the State Office for Consumer Protection Saxony-Anhalt , which he was in charge of until he retired on August 31, 2012.

Honors

  • On April 11, 2012, he was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his many years of voluntary work. The Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt, Reiner Haseloff , paid tribute to him at the award ceremony with the words: "Your personality combines factual orientation, organizational talent, inventiveness and human empathy" .
