Uwe Scherf

Uwe Jürgen Scherf (born August 6, 1957 in Solingen ) is a German lawyer , legal journalist and author .

Scherf has been a lawyer in Solingen since 1991 and publishes specialist books and articles on topics such as internet law , liability issues in companies and law in e-business . As a legal journalist, he writes for Bild am Sonntag .

Life

Scherf began his career as a press officer for the Federal Bar Association , of which he became managing director in 1992. With the move of the Chamber to Berlin , Scherf ended this activity in 2001 to work as a lawyer in Solingen. Scherf has been the Federal Managing Director of the German Fire Brigade Union (DFeuG) since 2011. He is a member of the executive committee of the law firm management working group in the German Lawyers' Association , as well as of the Internet committee of the Association of European Bar Associations. Scherf was a member of the now-defunct juris expert council. He is a member of the Internet Committee of the Association of European Bar Associations.

As a lawyer, he maintains contact with the deaf and also advises them with the help of interpreters. Scherf is married and has two children.

Author and journalist

Scherf writes as a freelancer for Bild am Sonntag as an expert on law. Until 2005 he was editor-in-chief of the magazine "Die Kanzlei - Praxis-Journal für Anwälte". Scherf was managing director of the Federal Bar Association and editor of BRAK-Mitteilungen .
