Uwe Schmidt (politician, 1947)
Uwe Schmidt (born May 20, 1947 in Emden ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the state parliament in Brandenburg.
Uwe Schmidt completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale merchant after attending school. Professionally he worked in the field of public banks, most recently as chairman of the board of the Kreissparkasse Prenzlau and the Sparkasse Uckermark until 2012.
Schmidt joined the SPD in 1972. From 2009 to 2014 he was chairman of the Prenzlau local association . He was a member of the Prenzlau city council from 2014 to 2015. He has been a member of the district council of the Uckermark district since 2014 .
In the state elections in Brandenburg in 2014 , he won the direct mandate in the Uckermark I state electoral district .
