Uychi is an urban-type settlement in the Uzbek province of Namangan in the Ferghana Valley and the capital of the district of the same name .
The city is located about 20 km northeast of the provincial capital Namangan immediately south of the district-free city of Chortoq . The Northern Ferghana Canal flows past the northern edge of the village.
In 1984 Uychi received urban-type settlement status. According to the 1989 population census, the place had 14,008 inhabitants, according to a calculation for 2010 the population was 31,564.
