Václav Jamek ( pseudonym Eberhardt Hauptbahnhof ) (born November 27, 1949 in Kladno ) is a Czech writer and translator .

Life

From 1966 to 1969 he studied in Dijon ( France ). After his return to Czechoslovakia , he attended Charles University in Prague , where he studied psychology and Romance studies . After his final exam in 1976, he accepted the position of publishing editor, initially at Akademia-Verlag , and since 1986 at Odeon-Verlag . In 1994 he moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after which he was cultural attaché in Paris until 1998 . Since 1999 he has only dealt with literature.

It is difficult to place his works in one direction. His books are personal; the subjective description of world events plays a major role in them. He attaches importance to his point of view, not to what is happening. He uses numerous styles and is classified by his readers as postmodern writers. His books are often ironic with a tendency to parody combined with humor.
