Václav Rabas (organist)
Václav Rabas (born August 14, 1933 in Bezděkov ; † April 20, 2015 in Pardubice ) was a Czech organist .
Life
While studying at the Prague Conservatory and at the Academy of Performing Arts with Jiří Reinberger , he attracted attention at international competitions.
In 1958 Rabas was again awarded 1st prize and titul laureate at the Prague Spring International Organ Competition.
He was a professor at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and founding director of the Conservatory in Pardubice . Aleš Bárta and Pavel Svoboda were among his students .
