Västeralnö is a village in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik in the province of Västernorrlands län and the historic province (landskap) Ångermanland . The village is about 15 kilometers northwest of Örnsköldsvik on the eastern bank of the Moälven , just before it flows into the Happstafjärden .
The place used to have a stop on the Mellansel – Örnsköldsvik railway line .
