Vít Olmer
Vít Olmer (born June 19, 1942 in Prague , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech actor , film director and screenwriter .
biography
Vít Olmer's mother died when he was eight years old. Until his studies at the theater faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague , he lived alone with his father in Prague. He graduated in 1964, but before that he played in the theater and made his debut in 1961 in the drama Junge Liebe, directed by Václav Krska , as a film actor on the screen. He then began studying directing at the film and television faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts , which he completed in 1966 with his diploma film Houslista . Until the mid-1980s, Olmer was still increasingly on the road as an actor. Since then he has written and directed almost exclusively feature films such as The Boss Also Knows The Public Prosecutor , The Purest Drama and Our Czech Song .
Olmer is married for the second time. He had two sons from his first marriage, one of whom died. He has a son with his current wife, the costume designer and actress Simona Chytrová .
