Vít Valenta (born January 4, 1983 in Kněžpole ) is a Czech football player .

Player career

Vít Valenta started playing football with TJ Sokol Kněžpole. At the age of eleven he moved to Slovácká Slavia Uherské Hradiště .

In the summer of 2001, the midfielder was allowed to train with the first team and was used in the Intertoto Cup against Universitatea Craiova and Stade Rennes . As Valenta from the club's management a three-year contract offered was, it turned out that he his manager Henk van Neck already on the PSV Eindhoven had taught. There he played in the first half of the 2001/02 season, however, only in the junior team. As a non-EU foreigner at the time with a minimum basic salary of 400,000 euros, he was too expensive for PSV Eindhoven.

In early 2002 Valenta moved to SK Lommel , with whom he signed a four and a half year contract. Valenta scored three goals in seven games. In the 2002/03 season he came regularly to use and scored three goals in 19 games, but Lommel announced himself due to financial problems during the season from the First Division .

Valenta switched to the Dutch amateur club HSC'21 / Brein . In June 2005 he signed a four-year contract with Cercle Bruges . In January 2007, however, the midfielder moved to FC Volendam after his contract in Bruges was terminated. With FC Volendam he rose in the 2007/08 season to the Eredivisie , and in the following 2008/09 season directly back to the Eerste Divisie . For the 2009/10 season Valenta moved to the Czech first division promoted 1. FC Slovácko .

Since 2012 Valenta has only played in the amateur field for various teams in Austria and the Czech Republic . He is currently under contract with TJ Družstevník Veľké Ludince .
